On the Road, Jack Kerouac.

Artistic Director Yolande Yorke-Edgell takes her audience on a journey across America through the eyes of beat generation writer Jack Kerouac. City Limitless features a specially commissioned film based on Kerouac’s journey across the States, filmed on location by David McCormick. City Limitless scratches under the skin of what it was to live at the heart of the beat scene. Yorke-Edgell also contributes a previous work Post Etiquette, reworked using the company’s outstanding dancers.

A brand new work for the company from dance maverick Wendy Houstoun- with her characteristic dry wit and finely-tuned sense of theatricality, audiences are in for an unexpected treat.  Meta 4 – another UK premiere from iconic US choreographer Bella Lewitzky makes an entire evening of dance created by three female choreographers.

Featuring some of the UK’s leading contemporary dancers, this promises to be a stand out event for 2010.
